Aite..im back...im back to blog bout THAIPUSAM...before tht lemme clear ur doubts bout this festival...on this day,we indians dont get angpau's frm married ppl,wear new clothes,eat a kings feast..dei i juz described chinese new yaer..haha.k k..this day is more about spiritual beleives.its like this--lets say u vowed to get straight a's,n then u got all the a's...so u participate on thaipusam day to 'repay' the gods..we have the ordinary ones like the milk pots,n the major one called alaagu kavadi(beautiful milk offrering)..wateva tht means..ok.we indians have to fast by goin vegetarian for as long as one to three weeks..durin fasting we have to walk,act talk,spaek n think wit good intentions..bcoz on the eve there is an event where u put ur palm in a kuali with hot oil to take out a 'jemput-jemput' look alike thing..if u break ur fast like ter..or sumthin...u'll see the consequences...so let me take u to the eve..

Aite...this is a little boy...blowing a shell.....boy...its rilli loud u noe....haha.its acctually one of the ways where in the olden days people blow tht for warnings n all...but nowdays we can only respect those shells by using it for prayers..
The young guy,Deva is going to be the barrier of the main kavadi.he is only 20 and he has to take the kavadi bcoz it is a family tradition...thtz his dad telling him wat to do n wat not to do...cuz he kinda looks rilli lost rite.. haha
if u look properly,the elderly man has sumthin on his mouth.he cant talk when he wears tht..i noe u ppl muz be wondering why muz they be half naked.but acctualy,wat they r wearing is called a whaisthi..looks like a sarong,but its not cuz they wear it in a way where it looks like a pants...ussualy for dancers as well.

As i was sayin,tis are the so called 'jemput-jemputs' that r put in the kuali to be fried...not to eat it la...but for us the devotees to take them out...look at the fire...look at the oil..n they expect us to put our palms in it...wont u suffer first degree burns?who in the rite mind wud do such a thing?

U can see for urself now rite,how hot it is..just the bahang already can make u faint.i used to think so...tht 'oh ur hand will burn'..but reality is,it wont.if u fast,n have good intentions towards people..u dun suffer the consequences.but if u do sumthin wrong..like break the rules while fasting,every1 will noe tht u r sinful..it rilli determines tht.u think its juz sum fairytale fact..but im telling u its true.looks impossible to put ur hands in tht rite..?i was juz standing n suddenly,a fren of mine jus told me,''if u arent scared ,give it a shot'' n im like''im not scared..i have a camera in my hand'' he said''i'll hold it 4 u''

I TOOK IT!!thtz my palms.....haha....k it looks bad but trust me it isnt..yes it was hot(u saw the kuali rite),it was rilli freaky and it took a lot of my guts to put my hands in it..acctually its all in the mind..all in the mind....the fouth finger was like freakin red...but it didnt hurt...looks like i pass my fasting period well..at least i had good intentions to those who even thought i had bad intentions...u noe after putting my hands in,i did wat nithya always does...LAUGH!!haha....yea...this is juz the eve see la,if got time...i put more pics ok...esok or sumthin...
